art and youth culture through a series of European events.
Planet Reef 2004 reflected the ultimate surf lifestyle,
traveling in search of the great waves, meeting people
from different cultures, exploring new countries, and
sharing unique experiences with people who share the same
passion for life, art and surfing .. { it's not all based
on the footwear reef sandals but the life style that goes
along with it }
Over
a 16-day period, Planet Reef with Rob Machado, ( one
of the most famous surfers in the world - signature
Rob reef sandals ), at the helm and the art group 9eme
Concept, criss-crossed Europe to surf, party and explore.
Rob met his fans and surfed with Reef team riders from
each country visited along the Reef Sandals & Clothing
World Tour. - Reef

Another
feature of Planet Reef was the much anticipated Miss
Reef Contest. Miss Reef has been a predominant figure
in Reef Sandals advertising campaign for the last 15 years. She is the fusion of beauty and sensuality, capturing the image of youth, health and happiness, all core element of the surf lifestyle. The Miss Reef Contest took place during stops in Portugal, France, U.K., Belgium and Israel. In Sardinia, Italy, Planet Reef stopped for some surf. In Portugal, the Planet Reef included the Portuguese National Reef Sandals Championship, Rob Machado Expression Session, live music bands, and an art exhibition. France was the location where Reef team riders from surf, kiteboard, motocross, BMX and Skate presented a weekend of demos and shows.
